General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received U.S. Deputy Secretary of States William Burns on Friday.
Acting upon a generous gesture by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Director General of the Dubai Civil Defence, Major General Rashid Thani Matroushi issued an administrative decision on Wednesday promoting 407 personnel of the civil defence.

His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued an Amiri decree promoting Ahmed Saeed Ali Al Jarwan from the post of Director of the Executive Affairs to the Secretary-General of the Sharjah Consultative Council.
His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, affirmed that joint Islamic action should measure up to the latest international economic and political developments.
The Federal National Council has chalked out an action plan to highlight the UAE’s record in protecting and boosting human rights of its citizens to the rest of the world.
